Welcome from the Principal

DEAR PARENTS, GUARDIANS, AND STAKEHOLDERS:

I would like to extend a warm welcome to all parents, guardians, and staff members of Bret Harte Preparatory Middle School. I am excited and honored to partner in the work of educating, mentoring and nurturing our students.

I am sure my staff and I are all prepared to provide our students with an excellent education. It is our mission to ensure that every child feels welcomed, safe and valued as a member of our school community. In addition, I am confident that we will provide all students with engaging and high-quality standards based instruction that will prepare our students for a successful high school experience. 

At Bret Harte Preparatory Middle School, we have caring and supportive teachers who spend hours planning and creating classroom activities to inspire our students to learn at high levels. Our teachers utilize research-based best practices and analyze data to determine skills and to set growth targets for improvement. We believe that all students should acquire skills the skills, and habits of mind to prepare them for academic and career success.

As principal of Bret Harte Preparatory Middle School, I look forward to supporting all stakeholders in providing students with a safe environment, a rigorous instructional curriculum, and a highly engaging learning experience.
